Stories guide us like maps through life…

When we believe a story, it tells us who we are. It points us toward what is valuable and meaningful. It marks the boundary between what territory is safe to explore and what’s dangerous. And it equips us with lenses and tools that we use to navigate life.

A long, long time ago, when most of the world was still uncharted and unclaimed, humans navigated life via the Story of the Soul: Within this story, we were Explorers, carving new paths by following the magnetic pull of our hearts, voyaging across vast seas with the spinning compass of our intuition, and co-creating each next chapter with a cast of characters - humans, animals, plants, and stars alike - animated with spirit.

We were alive within the very Soul Story of the World, contributing our own glittering discoveries and twisting, branching plotlines to its pages.

Slowly over time, as humanity sought more and more technological and economic progress, they lost connection to the aliveness of the worlds around and within them. Like a hungry cloud of smoke, a different story - The Story of Control - gradually and then all at once suffocated and gobbled up the light of the Story of the Soul.

Our epic co-creative tales and wild romances with life were replaced with encyclopedias of Certainty and dry manuals on How to Get Ahead. Disoriented in the smoky haze of survival, we forgot our roles as Cosmic, Soul Explorers and instead became Conquerors and Victims, navigating life with the compasses of competition, scarcity, and superiority.

Luckily, the embers of the Story of the Soul never fully extinguished within us.

It is rekindling as more and more of us receive glimpses of ancient memories and whispers of future promises.

The Soul Explorers are being called now - to courageously voyage into the vast seas of the unknown, against the voices of reason and strategy; to follow the compass of intuition instead of the dusty pages of a story that was never our own; and to commune with an intelligence that could never be owned or controlled.

If you’ve felt this inner flame of a different story, if you’ve sensed the heart-tug, if you’ve caught a glimpse of something more true and beautiful, then…

“The home we are looking for in this world is within us all along. The lost home that we are seeking is ourselves; it is the story we carry within our soul.”
